Born 1970 near Salerno, son of art grows in contact with the Italian and European jazz environment . He completed his classical studies in 1990 at the Conservatory of Salerno, where he graduated in clarinet. He moved to Rome in 1991 and began working with the most representative Italian (and/or residents) jazz musicians: Roberto Gatto, Stefano Sabatini, Stefano Di Battista, Tony Scott, Enzo Pietropaoli, Stefano Bollani, Fabrizio Bosso... Other collaborations with: Henri Salvador, Joe Lovano, Hilton Ruiz, Eric Reed, Greg Hutchinson, Joe Locke, Ira Coleman ... Winner of the Italian Jazz Award as best album he‟s got intense live activity . One of the great talents of the Italian and European jazz scene, Scannapieco is a versatile and thrilling musician.
