Enzo Pietropaoli

Enzo was born in Genova in 1955. He‟s been living in Rome since 1961 when he debuted professionally in 1975 with the Trio di Roma (Danilo Rea e Roberto Gatto). He has crossed his instrument with the greatest musicians in history : Michael Brecker, Phil Woods, Toots Thielemans, Enrico Pieranunzi, Paolo Fresu, Richard Galliano, Pat Metheny, Chet Baker... He played in the major international exhibitions in : Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland, Great Britain, Denmark, the Netherlands, China, USA, Canada ... His discography includes over 70 recordings. Since 1999 he is present in the Biographical Encyclopedia of Jazz by Leonard Feather and Ira Gilter. In 2012 he fired Yatra (jandomusic) with the quartet of which he is a leader that has earned him a great deal of attention in the international journals in the field. Enzo Pietropaoli is among the most acclaimed jazz musicians continues to reap critical acclaim from audiences and critics, in 2012 he won the prestigious award as the best bass player in a referendum organized by the magazine Musica Jazz.
